Wow, indeed. Just gorgeous. What are the main differences? Is the 612 the king?

Congratulations on the acquisition. Thanks for posting your experience on the restoration, and a big "Thank You" to the super folks at the factory for doing such a nice job!

As I am sure you are aware, you have one of the quintessential (to borrow a great line) "Made to be Played" Guilds. Play it and love every moment!

(And please continue to help us live those moments vicariously, from time to time). :~}

Impressive!
Thanks for sharing both story and pics....
Now I think I'm gonna spend the rest of the night staring at the second pic from the top with a stack of drool bibs handy.

Okay, great pics. As a 12 string player of about 50 years, I want one.

Oh, my.

The second photo made me weak in my knees.

Congrats to you and the folks in New Hartford who brought her back.

Post a sound clip some day - I'd love the hear her.

The detailing looks quite nice. I like the modern gold strap pin on the neck. Those are sweet, I have one on my 2012 F512. I'll wager that the luthiers at the Guild factory didn't mind sound testing it "just to make sure that it plays OK". And I'll also bet that it does in fact play supremely.

It looks amazing. And they did a nice job with the SSN--it looks barely visible. Goodness, that thing is a monster; it looks like it could eat an F20 for dessert and be ready for seconds.

Wow. I can only reiterate what others have said above. What an amazing and rare (in this case, it's TRUE) instrument. Play it in good health. So awesome that you spent the time and money to bring this wonderful guitar back. :encouragement:

Niiiice.

My mom's a huge John Denver fan, and I grew up listening to him...she's got a big poster of him in concert, playing a Guild 12. After I got my 412, I remember thinking, "Man, he must've been a really little dude, because this guitar is big, but his looks huge!" Turns out it was the 612, with its bigger lower bout.

What a monster,I never knew they existed,until reading this thread,such a shame only a few were produced,though it seems to be hard enough to sell even the concept of 12- string acoustics,to most guitarists,far less having this beauty to contend with! I would give a lot to own one of these.

Beautiful restoration! Thank you so much for sharing those moments with us, it's only the second F-612 I had ever seen on LTG, the other F-612 was that one that one member found on the street in New York (and it was checked that it wasn't reported as stolen) and sold on e-bay, it disappeared afterwards to an unknown buyer. There's a third here of a members friend but the owner didn't want to post pictures. And there might be more in LTG ownership that we don't know of.
