Hi,

Reine here!

(First post, so here is some info about me :)

I live in Sweden and are very interested in guild guitars.
My first guild was an a-25 from 96. Very rare, and i regret selling it.
I later bought a new d-55 and a f-50 from 78. I had to sell those cause my economy wasnt the best at that time.
I liked the f-50 best, and are on the lookout for one from the 60's or 70's atm.
I hope i can find both general guild talk, and maybe even a old f-50 on the forum at some point :)

Now on to my question(s):

I liked the neck and playability very much on the f-50 i had before, and im wondering if guild made them chunkier in the 70's?
Im also wondering what the exakt specs are on the neck and nut on a f-50 from 1978 (i forgot to measure it).
What diffrent sizes necks/nuts have they done over the years?

Here are some pics on how it looked (some pics on the d-55 thrown in for good measure ;):

Welcome aboard, Reine! Good to have you here. I'm quite a fan of the Guild jumbos too. I have a '71 and a '67 F-50R that I can measure for you if you like. I assume you're interested in the thickness of the neck at its widest spot?

That would be great :)
The nut and the thickness on some diffrent spots would be cool.

Oh btw, i have a hard time finding f-50's with the maple neck. Is it rarer than the mahogny neck?

Welcome to LTG... We see a fair number of F-50s selling on eBay here in the states. I'm sure we'd all be happy to keep our eyes and ears open, and advise when possible.
