I know this is kind of a shot in the dark, but does anybody know the difference in dimensions of these guitars?

I know the F-30 went back and forth between short scale and long scale....

Do they have the same depth? How about the lower bout, upper bout and waist?

Thanks!

Are you talking about the current production models?

If so, you can get the 000-18 dimensions here:

http://martinguitar.com/guitars/features/shapes.html

I have a brand new F-30 and can measure it for you tomorrow evening.

Right away, I can tell you that the 000-18 is a 24.9 inch scale and the F-30 is 25.5 inch scale.

Thanks Jim.

F-30's are all over the place in their specs! I think I'd like a 70's version-- thicker body (than the 60's), short scale-- though the new version with the Adirondack top is very interesting.

How do you like yours?

I'll post the F-30 specs when I get home tonight. I really like mine a lot. I've had two 000-18s and got rid of them both because I thought they sounded too dull. The F-30 is brighter and has a sound that is much more full. Plus, the neck is a lot thicker and feels better in my hand that the low-profile 000-18 neck.

Okay....

Here are some measurements from my new, Tacoma-built F-30 Aragon:

Lower bout: 15-1/8"
Upper bout: 11-3/4"
Body length: 19-3/8"
Body depth: 4-1/4"
Overall length: 41-1/4"

I hope that helps.
