took possesion of a brand new f250 on 8/16/21.Didnt make any changes, played it right out of box for 20 hours.Came to the conclusion that, yes it was worth the mone.
After the initial playing, i took guitar down,replacing nubone nut, and saddle with unbleached bone. swapped out plastic pins with bone abalone inlay pins. Also bought a set of grover sta-tite tuners V97,s in gold.Once all new pieces were addedto the guitar, i strung up with DR,s light sunbeams. And then went about measuring string heigth, neck relief and depth of nut slots.Made all necessary adjustments to suit my playing. After doing all these mods, i now find this mic f 250 ,to be a very outstanding guitar. it was great out of the box. But now its even better. Through my adjustments to nut ,saddle and truss rod.Heres what i found. .010 relief at 8th fret significantly opened up the guitar. Dr sunbeam 11,s sound wonderful, but tge 12,s really boom without having to make any truss rod adjustment. my low e(6th string) is at .050 on 12th fret.high e( 1st string) is at .040.Hope this helps any new f 250 buyers. Ibwill try a set of martin monel 12,s on next string change
