I just scanned the article and was going to post it and I got to wondering if I did post it, could there be copy write issues involved were putting it on the web. I bet there is? I wouldn't want to get in trouble over this article even though it was a great article.

Being a CV-1 owner, I read it with great interest. It was indeed an excellent review. It had alot to say about what we already know. 8)

Well, a guy could try a private message, just a suggestion.

I could go ahead & subscribe, if I have to, I guess.

The Willie Porter CV 1C is Solid Flame Maple back & sides. Guild's list price is $3299. Whew !!

Check out the bridge pins, bone on the bass strings & ebony on the treble.

I'm trying to get the local shop to order one in but I'm told they aren't available yet.

The Porter guitar also gets an even wider nut at about 1.79", special binding pkg, upgraded materials, and a special pickup. They also throw an extra bone saddle in for open tunings like Willy uses. Should be a very capable fingerstyle guitar.

I bought my CV-1 a few weeks ago and I can only echo the sentiments expressed in the review. Mine does not have the cutaway or electronics, and is not as fancy as the Willy Porter model, but essentially it is the same guitar. It truly is a fabulous guitar in all respects. Guild has really knocked a homerun with their new contemporary series. If you try one of these, you'll end up buying one as I did. Truly a stunning guitar.

I would have previously called myself a traditionalist, but with my D-60, 2005 D-55, and this baby I have truly become an old modern fool and fully embraced the Guild of the past and the present.

Hi DPicker:
Several of us stumbed over this subject a few weeks ago in connection with Guild schematics: public domain v. 'water-marked'. It's likely that in both versions of AG, there's already some language about what can/can't be done with their content. If it can't be found, then any subscriber might want to consider asking them via e-mail about their policy re/ reproducing their stuff.

Seems like they could go either way on the subject: Yes, we don't object because, if not for profit, it serves to broadcast the quality of their content and act like 'free advertising'. They could just as easily say 'drop dead'; it's our stuff blah blah and taken to extreme, there'd be no point in anyone subscribing. Chances are they already know about this BB and the others tied to particular brands of guitars; WTH, we are the kind of people they'd like as subscribers. Anyway, wouldn't hurt to ask; all they can say is no.
