There's some pretty sweet stuff in there. It would be quite a job just to estimate the value of that collection, which looks to be currently for sale (along with at least one other smaller collection) at:

Interesting.

The Starfire I bass pictured would seem to be quite early. The saddles are not the usual color of the wooden saddles and the PU is a Hagstrom in the bridge position. Thumb/finger rests have been removed.

Some interesting looking amps too. If any of the resident amp gurus feel inclined to comment, I'd be interested.

Some very neat instruments there.

I think there was some other stuff that belonged to this guy that was sold on eBay a while back including a NOS F-112 or F-212.

What an interesting, eclectic collection!

That SF bass has been on Fatdawg's webpage since the spring of '08 ... very funny place to wander around; full of 'Dredstiks' and 'Krammits' .. Subway Guitars previously threaded Here and Here.

The guitar labeled S-200 Thunderbird is actually a vintage S-100 Polara.
Great collection! 8)

That is correct, it is an S-100 Polara. I called the guy and we had a long chat. He's also got an S-100C with the oakleafs and acorns. It's as though he's not entirely sure of all that he has, but I got the sense there are many, many more guitars of all kinds. He didn't even though how to price the S-100 Polara, but he does have the vibrato arm.

Did he give you a ballpark figure? Of course, knowing condition is a big factor. Just a bit curious...

He was thinking of listing the S-100 Polara at $2,000, pending on the condition, which he wasn't exactly sure of because he hadn't seen the guitar in a little while. I pointed out to him that Willie's Guitars was listing a '64 Polara with a repaired peghead overlay that was a little rough around the edges for $1,700, and Chicago Music Exchange has a sunburst '64 S-100 Polara that they're asking $2,500 for.
