I'm tempted to put a Bigsby B7 with vibramate on this guitar. Had anybody done this with a Les Paul? There is the issue of this being a "collectible" guitar, but with the vibramate I wouldn't have to drill any new holes I don't think. I guess the only thing might be is if I were to remove it there would be an area under the bigsby that won't get darkened by light over time. And anyways, collectible is kind of subjective, especially when we're talking an epiphone but these Bonomassa models do seem to hold their value. Ugh I'm tempted. Anybody have any advice?

I put one on mine. (Just the B7) Took no time at all. No extra holes. Nada. It screws right into the two threaded insets of the stock tailpiece, plus the tail strap button, and that's it. The hardest part was getting used to putting strings on it without the eyelets constantly slipping off the pegs on the bigsby. I figured out if you just put a slight bend in the string 1/4" above the eyelet, they stay on.

I've grown to LOVE the bigsby. It produces lovely vibrato and it's not nearly as touch sensitive as a strat vibrato. You can really go to town on it.

That one looks like it has the vibramate plate on it. Was there a metal plate with felt that you first fastened to the guitar using the tailpiece holes prior to installing the bigsby? I'm guessing it also has a plate that you affixed to the guitar using your strap button and that plate allowed you to attach the bigsby unit to the back of the guitar with no drilling? I'm used to the bigsby on my Gretsch and I love mine as well!

Maybe it does, I forget. That was a lot of Covid bourbon ago. Lol. I know I bought whichever one said you can take it back off again and it will leave no markings/new holes.

Looks very cool! Those p90's combined with the bigsby give it a little OG Carl Perkins look. I think I'm sold.
I got that guitar pretty cheap. It's a Gibson Studio 1960 Tribute. No body or neck binding, but I still love it. It's a chambered body, super light, the 60's neck is super slim and fast as lightning. Sounds big acoustically....and that's how I like to guage my electrics. Sings like a bird. (y)

Here she was pre bigsby.

Very cool. The Youngling (sp?) sign is making me thirsty on this Friday afternoon!
