AE-176 and a bunch of other '60S Guild 12s had full size Grovers on them. Full size vs mini:

Yes, but I suspect they were designed to accomodate those tuners, and the tuner holes were properly spaced to do so. My 12-strings that came with six-on-a-planks have shorter headstocks than ones that came with Grovers.

Maybe they'll work -- all I'm saying is measure before you buy. Grover, for instance, doesn't make a pre-packaged set of 12-string tuners with full-size buttons -- so far as I know.

Has anyone here replaced six-on-a-planks with full-size Grovers?

I have a "volute" '65 F-312 which has been out of commission for about 20 years. Did 312s from this era (the AS series) ALL have ebony bridges, or were some rosewood?

I think my 412Special from those days (AE) had a rosewood bridge....

Curious, because my bridge is split down the center, broken in front, and a candidate for replacement. It has really wierd string spacing too. Taking it off tonight.
Send it to Tom Jacobs in Florida. He worked at Guild and has done spectacular work for us LTGers. You will be very happy and have your valuable F 312 back on line for playing.
