You may be right about that, but my unit raises the humidity from 8% to 45% very nicely, and I can't imagine that Denver is much different than Montana and Las Vegas. Just sayin' :wink:

It depends a lot on your heat system, high-volume forced air seems to be the worst about drying things out. Radiator steam heat tends to be better. Wood heat can be bad.

These units we get from Ace are $169 and the replacement filters are $20. Depending on how much stuff is in the water it may take a couple of filters per winter.
