I really lucked out in a thrift store today. I was in there yesterday and picked up a couple of classical type cds for the car. Today I was in the same store and went thru the rack again, of course most of them were the same when right near the front was Eva Cassidys 'What a wonderful world'.. well of course it had my name on it. After a difficult week where last Tuesday sombody rear ended me pretty hard, as I was slowing down with the other traffic. My nice old Honda Accord had the frame bent so it was a write off, I was pretty sore but allright, but DANG that was a great car with all the accessories, an electric moon roof....So now I have an old Tercel which is pretty basic but has a cd player, nice. So I put on Eva and her Guild backed up with a chorus of Angels. What a wonderful world came on, well, If you've heard Eva do this you know every word is true. So I'm sitting there feeling sadglad. I had to go to the bank and am listening to Eve now singing How can I keep from singing? there are now tears in my eyes...she is singing 'My life goes on, in this song, how can I keep from singing...'
Whew, Eva, we love you and miss you so much...so as I pulled up to WalMart, nowhere near my bank,(I was so into listening, and driving, I forgot what I was doing) I just parked and listened to the rest of the cd. She isn't easy to listn to and drive, but only having heard her on the computer, and you tube....folks, if you can find a way to order her album(s) it is so worth it, what a great soulful sweet and lovely talent she was....Lord, how can I keep from singing.... :D  Steffan

Steffan, sorry to hear about your car, glad you're ok.

I picked up 2 Eva Cassidy cds a couple months back. 3 bucks a piece in the sale section at the used cd store. What a bargain! :D

Thanks for your good thoughts guys. I've had a mild headache for a few days, but the insurance people are putting up for physio, and anything else my Dr. recommends. Wonder if he would write me a prescription for a D55.  Seriously, lts just another bump in the road, but I'll take full advantage of whatever it takes to make me feel better. The little Toyota gets really good mileage, and I'm wondering about Arlington, but its still a finance concern. I'd sure like to share some Guild time with others in this group. It'll happen, sooner or later. So thanks again for your good wishes. There is a neat link for Evas' song above... enjoy this angel. she was just so special. :D  Steffan

Hi Steffan; sorry hear about you and your car. You'll be fortunate if you've escaped the dreaded whiplash; my SIL was in a rear-ender years ago and she still feels it from time to time. :( John

It's happened to me, but the last time it did I had some dents in my car but the car that hit me was undrivable afterwards - and it was one that had just been repaired and was being driven back to the owner

He 's doing great. I'm so thankful he is our son! Oh yeah, get this, tonight while I was burning hamburgers on the grill, he came out to bs with me. I had a guitar catalog out to read while burning and he started asking questions about guitars. Cool!
