Accordions are in! Especially electric accordions that "let loose piercing leads and swinging chords in audio colors that will flip your audience." So groovy.

My sister and I cut a record when I was 4 and she was 11, I sang and she played the accordion. My Dad felt this was worth spending money on in 1958, and I'm really happy he did. He took us to a recording studio; I faintly remember the experience. I still have the record; it's pretty scratchy but I had t digitized. I'll have to see if I can post it here somehow.

Put it on Soundcloud and link to it here. The forum software will do the rest.

My wife wanted to learn accordion as a kid but her Dad refused to allow it, saying that ladies do not play accordions.

Alright....I've been here too long. My eyes first went to see if the TRC on the guitar was on right, then I started looking for ugly feet.

She's probably on acid - no other way she would think that accordion sounds that good!

I think downers....if she were trippin' her eyes would be wide open from the sound excitement from the piercing lead

Yeah she's smacked out and that's her creepy brethren cult kids taking those stolen instruments to Larry's pawn shop to get money to buy food.

Not exactly, Guild was started specifically to build guitars, but Al Dronge had a musical instrument business prior to founding Guild and he did deal in Italian-made accordions, according to the Guild Guitar Book, pg. 9 in my copy.

Think that actually was the connection (if not actually the same company, can't recall) that led to using an Italian organ maker for Guild's '60's organs, too.

Accordions don't get 'nuff respeck:
