Dog Blanket

Wife and daughter gone till Tuesday. Lazy day for sure!!

My wife used to put a blanket in the dogs' beds in the winter. Every time a reinforcing cold snap would come along, she'd add another blanket. I would tease her saying if she kept adding blankets the dogs would need a step ladder to get into their beds by March.

We have three cats, our son and daughter-in-law have four cats and two dogs, and our daughter and son-in-law, who are pet-challenged, sadly have only one dog.

Oh, I agree! I just wasn't sure if I had counted correctly, or if there might be more off camera. And they are so adorable!

We have 2 cats, and 2 strays that I feed. Our high cat number was 13.
We have 1 dog. Our high dog number has only been 2 so maybe we are pet-challenged. (Of late, though, I have been wanting a puppy, but probably won't get one. We'll see.)
We have 4 horses. Our high number was 8.
And they are all wonderful!

As a kid I had hamsters. If I remember correctly my high number was 26. That's a lot of hamsters! (I had two females that had babies at about the same time. A lot of my friends ended up with hamsters - with their parents' permission of course.)

Most we’ve had was two Newfs which was 300 pounds of dog, so if you do the math that’s a lot of dog.

My late Pomeranian (Minnie) used to lay in my lap after my century bike rides to apply heat to my recovering thighs. I would call her “Dr. Min” when she did that. So that’s like a pet blanket. But, wow, four dogs would be a whole body deep heating wrap!!

Isn't it ironic how the forum brings on guitar buying mania - aka gas - but then also helps you to see it in perspective like this ;]

At least with too many guitars, you can still find a spot to sit on the couch and play.

Not to count the many that have come before - Mushu, Grace, Princess, Raz, Coco, Little Bit, Cinnamon, Zeke, Tabby & some whos names I cannot remember (Dogs) and Pfrank, Pfred, Pfelix, KJ, Whiskers, Spike, Gus (Cats).
Almost all came from the Humane Society or other rescue places.
Max count at any one time was 3 cats and 6 dogs (three were ours and three were from the in-laws they passed suddenly)

I usually have between one and three kitties sleeping in my dreadnought, jumbo or electric guitar cases when I'm playing. Which, as an aside, also proves that cats can sleep through any noise.
