Well the F-47M is the same size as the F-40, but I'm not sure I'd call either one "small" at 16" wide. Although in my view, the 16" "mini jumbo" is the best of all worlds (I own a mid-eighties F-44, so i should know!).

In the very early days (57-58; is that NY or early Hoboken?), there were some F-20s were made with arched laminated maple backs... (see viewtopic.php?f=5&t=7077&hilit=maple+f20). I think I have only seen 1 on eBay in nearly 3 years of watching.

Yep, there's one in Seattle, maple laminate back, sides may be solid. I know the fella what owns it. Problem is he isn't dead yet so it's not for sale.

And theres a GF30 for sale on Orange Ca Craigslist, mini jumbo. Graham just bought the mahogany model a GF25, he'd probably give you the dimensions. I wish someone would buy this thing & remove the temptation.

Meanwhile, if Guild ever gets production up & running in Connecticut & they start the Contemporary models, the Willie Porter & CV2 are maple. There are a few Tacoma builts circulating around.

As wide over the bottom as a dreadnought or wider, but not as deep as one and of course has a more narrow waistline. This guitar I most certainly can recommend.

I would like to say the classification of the OM as a "small bodied guitar" has confused things tremendously for the guitar buyer. It is not. It too has pretty much the dimensions of a dreadnought, except for the waistline and depth.

Here's my "small bodied maple flattop" ... well, maybe more medium-bodied, but as Sitka says, not real deep and with a small waist, so feels small-bodied:

I'd definitely recommend one of these, as it's my favorite right now.
