HI,
I have been away from Guild Guitars for a long time, and since the days of my old D-25M, I now need 1 3/4" nut width, and hopefully 2 1/4" String spacing at the saddle.

I would love to buy a Beautiful Guild Dreadnought in Rosewood and Red spruce..........did some research but I am still a little confused..........

Can anyone direct me to all the Models that Guild makes with 1 3/4" Nuts? Any size Guild will do for starters. I can work with any string spacing at the saddle if necessary.

Thanks for all the help.

Welcome Dad,

Check out the Guild Contemporary series for 1 3/4 in nuts. Generally good reviews of the Contemoporary series here, I have a CO1 I like a great deal.

Ingore the "Page not Found Message" if it comes up when you access the Guild site, make a selection & it usualy takes you uright in.

I have personally experienced this myself. My 89 D-60 had a very slim neck profile, which became increasingly difficult for me to play over the years, especially with my athritis. I also have very large hands and fingers, so it became very tiring to play for extended periods of time, and to chord cleanly. The LTG'er that bought my D-60 remarked that it was indeed a slim neck profile compared to other models. I believe that many of the Guild models from that era had the same necks. Due to my own ingorance, it never dawned on me that a 1 & 3/4 nut would make a substantial difference.

I read an article about 1 & 3/4 nut and the benefits for folks like me, and on an impulse bought a CV-1 sight unseen without ever hearing it. I know...a gamble...but I have always believed in Guild and it was a minimal gamble in my estimation. It was an instant rebirth of my playing dexterity, plus it is a magnificent guitar in all respects.
