that is a depression era Cromwell archtop, made by Gibson, with a pressed spruce top and the Recording King head shape as you see. It's a good player with a chunky V neck.

Nice, a sister guitar to this one, made by Gibson, SOL found it at some crusty yard sale, I went into town to get it, two guitars the old guy had. This ended up in the hands of great singer/songwriter - gave it to SIL - on CD, man it's got the tone with a little help from Gryphon in Los Altos.
