Our Kenmore dishwasher wasn't cleaning the dishes for diddly, after trying evrything I knew I called the repair guy. He found a bunch of stuff lodged in the chopper/pump impeller including:

-a bobby pin
-two toothpicks
-two pieces of a ballpoint pen
-three chicken bones
-a bread bag twisty-tie
-a wad of bubble gum
-a foil pill pack
-a whole popsicle stick
-various other unidentified objects

Gee whiz, we had a whole friggin' scavenger hunt stuck in there! Had to show my teenage boy why you make sure the dishes are somewhat clean when you toss 'em in the dishwasher!

Believe it or not, the dishwasher is working great now!

Very interesting. I shared a household with a teenager. Do you think he got the message? :D

Not sure my teenage son knows where the dishwasher is.
He's only interested in food on TOP of the counter.

Okay and after ALL THAT.... I'm still not sure what Snibbo is.... coastie, can you clarify? I'm stumped.....

Too good to be true?

I understood it to be a probably mythical substance that can do just about anything in much the same way duct tape is sometimes alleged to do just about anything that needs to be done.

Frono is very close.

"Snibbo" was a product offered on the long-ago Spike Milligan comedy series, "The World of Beachcomber".

The "advertisement" was fronted by Frank Thornton ........ best remembered as Captain Peacock from another British comedy, "Are You Being Served ?"

Among its many virtues, Snibbo was handy for stopping greenfly and preventing cliff erosion.

Well I think Red Green has put that 'alleged' part to rest....I even saw a young couple who went to their high school prom dressed in outfits made entirely of duct tape...Steffan

Looks to me like he just had it confused with the clothes washer.

It's probably similar to the legendary oil treatment for our car engines: "Galavanized Go-Fast." :D
