The tuners on my '65 F-312 are really close together, making tuning something of a challenge...one's fingers need to be nimble not to bump into the neighboring tuner. Is that the case on your D-50-12?

I understand, but just saying..... Maybe folk's had smaller hands in those ancient times. What a minute, I was born in '46 and have freaking large hands and feet: good for playing piano and guitar, and for running fast (or I used to). But, not for easily tuning my '65 F-312. They could be even closer! I love the sound of that f*****r. Boy, my recent return from the ordeal in India has freed up my tongue (sorry).
