Hi I have a spotless Deco Dreadnought under my bed. I know very little about this model. Can any of you shed some light?
Cheers
Tom

Tom, welcome aboard, and yes please post some pictures. We don't see many of those out there! I hope it hasn't been under your bed for too long!

I'm away for a couple of days but I'll post a couple of pics after the weekend.

Welcome to LTG! The Deco is like the Guild's version of the Martin D-45. Lots of abalone, pearl and bling!

Welcome, Tom. That's quite a guitar you have there. Can't say I've ever seen one. I'll put in another vote for photos when you get back home. (y)

What a great guitar!

I remember catalogs from the late-90s touting the Deco and the "Finesse" as two new models from the Guild Custom Shop in Tennessee. At the time, Guild also provided a "checklist" from which you could select your own custom features for a new guitar.

I have one of these Blake turned me on to. Functionally, mine is excellent but it is heavily finish checked. Although it likely is not the right or smart thing to do, mine will find its way to Tom Jacobs to address that.

Wow, a fantastic looking example! Trim those string ends and send her to the photo studio for some glamour shots. :)

Anyone note the unusual binding on the top of the headstock? Instead of being curved with angled cuts to match up the pieces it looks as if it's been heated and bent? The black line curves vs. a sharp cut!! I've never seen that before!! What a beautiful guitar, and yeah, cut THOSE STRING ENDS!!!
