Hey all,

I've got a few things to say/ask on the DeArmond Jetstars.

1) First of all, I know that some are from Indonesia, others from Korea...anyone knows more about that? (why? differences between the two? differences in sound/quality, etc...?)

2) I've seen some with two knobs and some with four knobs (check the following link for the one with 4 knobs: http://bluezzblog.blogspot.com/2006/02/ ... se-me.html

Whats the difference in specs? If anyone played them, which one do you like best and why?
Also I know the one with two knobs is the Jetstar special, whats the name of the other one?

I recently bought a Special, its all black and from indonesia. It has a scratch by the lower horn but other than that its in excellent condition and I really like how it plays. I actually enjoy playing it better than my Gibson Les Paul TV special reissue.

It has the 70s Guild Shaped headstock (like the logo of this forum)

I was actually looking for a cherry red/ transparent red one with the other headstock which I personally like better. But I found this one for a decent price so I bought it and I will sell it when I finally find the red one I'm looking for (if I ever do).

I actually want two of these, the Special one in cherry red; and the one with the 4 knobs and pickguard, either in red also or all black (in case anyone has these for sale).

Anyone owns the DeArmonds too? How do you like them?

The non-Special was just called the Jet Star. The difference is (I believe) that the standard model has separate Volume and Tone controls for each pickup where the Special has only a Master Volume and Master Tone.
I have the Bajo Jet baritone and while being one of the heaviest guitars I own, it's also a very good player.
I don't know anything about the quality differences in the Indonesian and Korean models.
