Trying to get a feel for each without playing them in person.

Oh, I'd like one of those baritones. I never knew they existed
...perfect for my current 90's rock obsession...OK Computer-Radiohead
no 1990-1993 telecaster plus??
Yes it did.Wondering if the trapezoidal tailpiece on mine preceded use of the horizontal tailpiece
on the black Bajo-Jet in the youtube demo.
Assuming 07 is the month (and we would only proof it is not if we find an instrument with 00 or 13 or higher) I would say the number behind the month has to be the running number only for that month. If I'm understanding the serial correctly (based on previous posts by Ralf and others)
KC = Korea, Cor-Tek, 9 = 1999, 07 = July, 1589 = 1589th instrument produced, but not sure if 1589 refers to instruments produced that week, month, or year to date.
Can you post pics? I agree that they're likely import pots. What do you mean by "the width is different"?Hey all, sorry to dig up a slightly older thread but I need some info from more knowledgeable people.
I have one of the Jet Star Specials, in emerald green, actually one of my first guitars. It spent some time languishing for years until now, and I wanna repair it, electronics are all rusted and need replacing. Got a replacement switch and output jack from StewMac, so that's fine. Unfortunately though the pots seem to be kind of non-standard, as far as I can tell. There's no indication on them what kOhms value they are, though I'm assuming the volume is 500k, but even then, the width is different than I've seen on other pots, and none of the replacement pots I have fit. What gives?
