He's definitely his own man...

First time I hear him say that Nash didn't really help him much.

I share his dislike for Neil Young. "Southern Man don't need him around anyhow."

I know Crosby can be a major a-hole, but he's dead right about Neil Young: selfish, self obsessed and self centered. I've been saying that for years. Young is not a team player in any way. He basically sat in with CSN for a few records and tours, but never really "joined the band." The damage he did to Buffalo Springfield over many years was immense. They were going to tour more than several years ago and Young pulled out at the last minute. I would have given almost anything to have seen Springfield on that tour.

The guys over at TGP are ranking on Crosby like crazy, but I think the real a-hole has always been Neil Young.

Neil described as selfish is quite apparent if you look back at his antics. Crosby has always been an outspoken a** but a talented a**. Yeah Neil really left Buffalo Springfield hanging. Sometimes sucking it up for the greater good of others is what defines humanity. Neil never looked back with regards the BS.

I don't disagree with this assessment, but if was only Neil, then there's no reason why CSN couldn't be together. You've got 4 people who are tired of each other, and each thinks they are great. It must drive Nash crazy that Crosby has become some sort of elder statesman of the '60's, because Nash portrays himself that way in interviews. But man, Crosby's pontifications in those Rolling Stone "Ask Crosby" videos are great!

It's too bad they come across as bitter old men, but it's typical human nature.. It certainly doesn't lend itself to making music.

I think Stills would play with any of them, he seems to have stayed above it all. Good for him.
