Ok, Ok, it IS purely platonic but it is still like dating.
So I haven't been able to sell her, then I was going to trade it in for a sweet little om at G.C but they were only giving me 20% of what I paid for it. Needless to say I didn't go for THAT deal. I have had this guitar for about a year and never really bonded with it so it's been in its case for 99% of its time. So about a month ago I put my beloved Gf25 in it's case ( due to humidity issues that I can't get under control ) and decided to try and bond with this new , strange beast. I had it set up, lowered the action, and put new strings on it. Well, I have been playing it every day and some days we get along and other days we argue with each other :wink: Here's what I have found
New guitars seem to change almost daily;
This guitar is developing everyday;
String choices are very important, sort of like a women choosing her outfit for a date, loud and bold, or warm and sexy;
There is way more to a relationship with a guitar than I could have ever imagined;
It is a lot of fun and I am enjoying my time with her.Ultimately, I don't think I will keep her but she is teaching me (1)_ to keep better posture, (2) since shes a heifer, I need to pay attention to how I handle her and how finger placement matters.
And even though buying used is cool, being part of your guitar opening up is cooler :wink:
