Hi all, anybody can help me as I am looking to buy a new D55 from the year 2021? Any sites besides reverb where I can get one? I tried sweetwater and they only have the latest. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!!

Good question, Russ. I don't know who Cordoba is selling through these days, but be aware that Yamaha has just purchased them and I wonder if distribution is going to change.

We haven't seen many Cordoba-built (Oxnard, CA) guitars for sale here at LTG, as you know. I'd keep my eye on Reverb and eBay too if you really want a used one that recent.

Not sure I understand your question correctly. You are in the US and want a new D-55 from year 2021 but Sweetwater only has them from year 2023 ("the latest")? What is the difference between the two years in your opinion, so why are you looking specifically for one from year 2021? 2021 was a Covid year and not many were produced at all. And I actually don't see any at Sweetwater currently.

It's going to be tricky to find a 2021. I just checked two higher-end dealers' websites (Wildwood and Chicago Music Exchange--they include serial numbers), and all they seen ti gave are from 2022. Reverb shows two used ones; it's entirely possible that some of the new D55s listed on Reverb are from 2021, but you can't tell from the listings. Good luck with your search, but it's going to be a tricky hunt.

I agree w Bone, go reverb for this quest. Not sure why you want a new D55 either...
If you want "newish" vs say Westerly, Corona or Tacoma output, I would focus on New Hartford era. Like 2012-2016.
The build quality of NH is tops.

I have a 2021, excellent to mint. I had it listed on Reverb and on the fence, but probably looking at a F-55's or F-50s now to replace it.
