D55 sighting on NPR

Daniel is the man. Saw him live a month or so ago here in Philadelphia. Got to talk with him a bunch that night over many cigarettes. His D-55 is an '82.

That 55 is freakin' loud! Interesting playing style, a hybrid of several styles played in a "trance" type composition. That thumb-over grip he uses is vintage Richie Havens... the rolls are pure banjo boogie.
