The rosette on the Corona and Tacoma F-412 has a tortoise center stripe (it looks black in this pic, but it's tort).

GG, yes, that's the same rosette that I have on my 2006 Tacoma-built F-512.

Boneman, FYI, not decal; layered strips of plastic. That's how bindings are done too. Thin strips of black or white plastic are glued together to create the pattern you see and then inlayed into the routed rosette slots. At least if I'm remembering right! ;) Last time I saw this done was about 10 years ago, so don't be surprised if I'm wrong. :D
No, you are right, I misspoke. :)

My 96 has the Abalone, with black pickguard.......lovely combo. Interesting to note the squared off fretboard trim on NH and Oxnard in the pix above.

Yea, that looks awesome, with a black pg+abalone rosette, would be the style I’d want to nab. That’s not a rosewood fretboard too is it? No, right?, they were always specc’ed with ebony? Or I’m mistaken, not the first time, lol, so curious then, do any D55s have a rosewood board, or did all of them come with ebony fretboards?

I'm sure I couldn't tell the difference blindfolded but ooooooo is that ebony fretboard smooth.
I hear that, I just like the look of rosewood more for when I'm not blindfolded :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
