Just got an email and some photos from the owner. It is a three piece neck without the carved heel. serial# EG100043 Neck, fingerboard and headstock look just like a D-70. Body is more ornate.

Hey folks, if you are interested, take note that this is in posted in Winnipeg, which is in the middle of Canada, not too far from the US border north of the Dakotas .....which means with the exchange rate this would be about $2600 U.S. money, maybe a bit more or less but thats what a lot less than the $3200 you may be thinking. Not bad, eh! Steffan

If it is in mint condition, I personally think it is a good deal at $2600US. It was built while Kim Walker was in charge of quality control at Guild and the price is several hundred less than the 1999 model I sold about a month ago. Someone with some $ should check it out. Probably a good investment if you have some cash.

If I had some cash, this would no longer be a topic of discussion, I think it would be an excellent investment too. Some what insulated from the market whims because there are so few out there, and some one will always want this kind of a beauty. How much fun is the average investment? or good looking? :D Steffan

How true it is, unfortunately in addition to selling my D-100, D-50 and DV-52SB A/E, I will at some point have put my GF-60R-NT and GF-50 Cherry Sunburst on the auction block. Don't like to ship in cold weather so it may be a while.

Take note .. the temperatures in the Winnipeg area are now hitting lows of -10 deg celsius which means weather checking is a real risk on nitro finishes when shipping.
