My Guild "Custom 7"
I've now only seen 1 more of these, The one from The Guild Guitar book from Hans Moust.
Guild Custom 7 (circa 1972) = Artist Award + Starfire
A thick bodied Starfire with an Artist Award neck. Great guitar!
Nobody I spoke to at the recent Santa Monica Guitar show had ever seen one.
I bought it new at Anderson Music in Royal Oak Michigan in the early 70s.
Here are some details and pics and an explanation of the customization as I see it. Info below and in attachments.
This one is Amber in color but I was told that they made a few in blond also. Hans know of 6 of these in existence. He owns one...slightly different than mine.

Unique features:
Neck: Guild “Artist Award” 5-piece maple and walnut neck
with an ebony fretboard and V-block inlays.
A large pearl inlay with a “CUSTOM 7” engraved headstock.
It features ivoriod-bound neck and headstock. It has a 25.5” scale and 22 frets. 3 piece (bone/ebony/bone) nut
Body: Guild “Starfire” with custom 3-1/8” body thickness
(Most Starfires had a 1-7/8” thick body.) Neck/Body join is at the 18th fret. It features ivoriod-bound body and f-holes
* Master Volume control
* Gold-plated humbuckers
* Gold-plated Grover machine heads
* Gold-plated hardware with hand-engraved gold-plated tailpiece.
