Because I'm a sucker for a black hollowbody. Brand spanking new. I put the (USA) Bigsby on it just now.

That is beautiful Walter. Is the Bigsby one of those on Ebay right now? The photo in the auction says B6, but the tailplate looks shorter than a regular B6 It looks like it should fit on a Starfire where a regular Bigsby B6 won't.

Yep, one of the NOS Ebay ones. They're the same size as a Bigsby B6. There are only two types of Guild Bigsby, this one, which is almost the same as a B6, and the type with the extra roller, which is the Guild/Bigsby version of a Bigsby B7.

The hinge part, the parts the Bigsby attaches to the side of the guitar with, is most definitely shorter than a typical Bigsby B6, and yes, it'll fit on Starfires.

That is Beautiful. I recently had a chance to look at an A-150 in all black and it was stunning in person. I need another Hollowbody like I need a hole in the head but seeing that X175 of yours makes it awfully tempting. I've played a couple of Newark Street Guitars and for the money they really are a good deal. This New Black lineup may push me over the edge. Congrats and enjoy your new Baby!

is this the NS X175 in black then? or something else?

How are the Franzes?
Yes, Newark Street X175 in black. I put the Bigsby and the metal bridge saddle on it.

The Franzes - for my taste, they're too hot. Not bad pickups at all, just hotter than what I'm used to with the vintage guitars. As soon as I have the time, I'm putting a set of old Franz pickups I still have in it.

Gorgeous, Walter. It looks like a sibling to my black '59 T-100D, which also has a Bigsby and cream covered Franzes.
