Well it does back up the " It's not all about the wood. " point of view.
Far from it, it reinforces it's all about the wood, all those numbers written on it, how sound travels through it.
He explains over and over how BR has lusher overtones and why and why Maple is dry with quick attack and decay, and how "precious" these woods are. The woods are precious, and deserve great care.
Sure a hack could turn all those beautiful timbers into a toneless mess, but when assembled properly by someone like he understanding the properties of the woods, then each timber gives the expected result, and so then it's up to the woods to speak.
I like how he has to defend himself on the internet about the internet saying there's plenty of folks who know more than him now, ugh...
