I've decided that I'm going pretty much exclusively with short-scale guitars, so this one is up for sale (sorry, no trades).

I bought this used from a fellow who also bought it used, so I am at least the third owner. This was not one of the Factory 2nds or "Stamped USED" models on e-bay. This was a fully warranted guitar with a real Guild serial number. The neck is straight and has been stable. Structurally, the guitar is very sound, but when I bought it, the body had been badly treated. Lots of dings in the cedar top, deep scratches in the sides and back, and deep dings in some places on the binding.

So it has been refinished. Sanded to bare wood (the dark stain was taken off of the mahogany back and sides), then sealed with shellac, top coated with polyurethane, and buffed. A very durable finish.

Also, the D-Tar pick-up system was removed from the guitar. It currently has a standard end pin jack (not the D-Tar battery holder/jack), but no pickup installed.

The tuners were upgraded from the open-back originals to gold Grovers.
Custom cherry truss rod cover. The original black plastic one will be included.

The neck angle is fine with the fretboard pointing right at the top of the bridge.
The action is at 7/64ths and 6/64ths with lots of saddle left. No issues there. Bone nut and saddle.

It has the classic cedar/mahogany tone: bright, dry, full midrange, and woody. It is actually a loud guitar, but is very responsive to picking dynamics.

The body is about the same size as a traditional Guild F-30.

The arm rest is custom-made, but is like a John Pearse type; attached with double-stick tape.. I will remove it if you do not want it.

The original TKL Guild hard shell case is included. It's in very good condition.

Price is $600 shipped in the con US, but buyer covers Paypal fees if Paypal is used.

PM any questions.

Folks, I played this one at LMG and can vouch for it being a good one. You won't see another one like it, and that's a very fair price, too. Good luck with the sale Carl!

Cjd,

What year was that CO-1C made?

-Fretted
It was the 14th instrument built in Tacoma on the 298th day of 2006.

Now, can YOU figure out the serial number from that information?

I can't believe this hasn't sold yet. Boys and girls, this is a steal!

Carl, list this over at AGF and it'll be gone quick like my (now ex) DV52.

Someone better step up soon or this guitar will be moving to Kentucky.

Dang Carl,
If I was still working, it would be coming to Tejas. What a beauty!
