Got the idea from Brucebubs in thread "Capo Buzz." If you were given the assignment of coming up with an original, new, name for a band - what name would you create for your band? Brucebubs, already, has "Capo Buzz." Create as many as you like!
Mine would be, "Can You Hear Me Now?"

My oldest friend and I trade garbled Japanese translations of usually Dobros or Guilds on eBay or Reverb--in fact one of our songs is the entire insane English from one. The latest one I found describing a pineapple uke ended with a phrase which I told him we needed to form a spinoff band so we could use the name:
THE PEOPLE OF HEATHER EYE FETISH--(that's the group the ukulele was supposed to appeal to). I was the one that usually named our band anyway--so back in '71 we went from THE BUDDYTONES to SPIDERLING to our present name SEVERAL MOUTH PARTS, which came about when I was translating Ancient Egyptian and was stumped on one sign--"Hmm, I know it's one of several mouth parts...hey, wait?!".

Pre-Covid I was talking with an old friend about doing some music together. Hopefully we do. My name... Ancient Flatus (aka, Old Farts)

From the time I started guitar lessons I have called myself "The We-Stinks".

I considered some spelling variations.

The Wee-Steenks. That sounds like either smelly small people or, well, let's just say little results of eating too many beans.

The Wii-Stiinks. I might be taken to court by Nintendo, but Microsoft and Sony would surely provide my legal defense.

So I have been The WeStinks, whatever the spelling, since starting guitar. Yes, I still vascilate between dash or no dash. I'm a solo act these days. My son was too good, had to kick him out of the band, so I could be auditioning for new members.

During my time as a waiter here in Vegas, we've had so many different groups come through the hotel. Things that I never knew existed or that they were numerous enough or interested in playing poker enough to create their own group. So when one group of people came through, after waiting on several of their tables, I decided that a serious rocker band could be named Deaf Lesbians. We all laughed and thought it was fun. Then, of course, at the end of my shift I got a table of two on the patio. They were part of the group, so I went up and introduced myself very simply and carefully because almost all of them read lips. They had the regular menus, but when I picked up the "Specials" menus and pointed out that these were the daily specials and that they were quite nice, one of them snatched it out of my hands and yelled very loudly in that wonderful voice that deaf people use that, "WE'RE JUST DEAF, NOT STUPID!!!" I can imitate her really well, which is kinda funny, but I just said "Fine" and left. Paul came upstairs and I transferred the table to him and told him good luck with the table and I went home. I guess the moral of the story is, no matter how diverse or specialized the group is, there's always one that is gonna be angry about something. So maybe not, but I still remember that day!!

Speaking only for myself, I would fit nicely in "The Band of Fools"...
