Some pretty impressive things are being said about the guitars we already know are great. Check it out at the Acoustic Guitar Forum.

Found it. Yep, that's the thread in which the great Rick Turner did all the Westerly bad mouthing. I read the thread in it's entirety, and have decided that Kabookie knows his stuff! :D

Probably good stuff being said because many of the posters are LTG'ers :D

Right. And it's obvious because some of us aren't clever enough to remember more than one name across guitar forums.

Yours truly with 14" of newly fallen snow in the yard,

it's Spring time

Howdy Springtime, I had to cut the lawn last weekend. Anyone wishing to see why they call Washington the Evergreen State should visit us this time of year. It's turned so green I keep looking for Leprecauns & rainbows with pots o gold. I'm sure you can see it from space, it's remarkable.

Fortunately for everyone in the neighborhood the folks across the street maintain a prolific weed seed plot, featuring an incredible selection of native & imported weeds. Freaking dandelions & all the other weeds start growing & going to seed real early around here.

Nice, Jeff! Gives me hope for the future (like, in three months). We moved up to northern New England about 10 years ago. Moved into the house on March 24. Then next weekend, the beginning of April, a storm dropped 30" of snow. Didn't know where the snow shovels were packed, and since we were new to town, had no one signed up to plow the driveway.

I love it here, though. From 2F degrees with 20% humidity in January to 90F degrees with 95% humidity in July. For my most sensitive guitars, I keep two saddles - one for winter, one for summer. The environmental change really does effect the action and playability.

Must be global warming causing all that snow, Frosty!

It's all relative and, interestingly enough, it has been an unusually warm winter! This is only the third snowfall of the season and it was in the mid 60s first two weeks of January.

Full disclosure: I personally think that there is reason to assign some credibility to the idea of global warming and to the idea that measurable increases in CO2 levels is a contributor. Reason to assign some credibility because when it's weighed on balance, we can either be proactive and hedge the bet, or ignore it and take what does or doesn't come. Call me conservative, I think we should hedge our bets. It's cheap insurance, after all.

Ok, back to guitars - I look forward to the time when it's warm enough to pick the guitar on the back porch.

I've said it before...the "global warming" effect is caused by concrete & asphalt.

:D I've said this before, but if it weren't for global warming, wouldn't we still be in the ice age?
