This may have been done to death, but I didn't find much with a quick search. Any thoughts on the benefits of chamois vs. micromesh vs. all cotton diaper for wiping down guitars?

Cotton diapers are OK but the leave a lot of lint.

We used to have Dy-dee diaper service and I always used to appropriate some of the brand new ones for instrument polishing, they were pretty nice. But now I have a microfiber towel in each case, they're gonna be hard to beat :D

I've been told that for pretty much all polishing applications, flannel is tops. It seems to be recommended in the Guild setup guide as well if my youthful memory serves me. In my experience, it works quite well, but of course you will have some lint. A light brushing with said flannel usually dusts that off.

I used to use a diaper for polishing when the kid was little, but I didn't like the brown streaks it left behind   I like the soft fluffy microfiber now. Steffan
