To mark National Guitar Day, here's my "number one," my 2012 D50 Standard, which Guitar Center sold used in 2013 at a price so low it must have been a mistake, and which I picked up with the assistance of forum member Toni (ladytexan). It's been my regular companion ever since. It's not my "best" guitar, but it's comfortable and familiar, it has a terrific, balanced sound, and I don't mind using it to face the hazards of playing live in bars. It's strong enough that, when I went into the studio for the first time nine days ago, it's the guitar I chose to bring with me. I figured that other guitars might be more distinctive, but that on the whole the D50 Standard would come across best. I don't regret the decision.
