See this ceiling fan, standard 8 ft ceiling. May be different in the Southern Hemisphere, some metric variation maybe. Anyway, when you are standing directly undeneath, it's out of your line of sight. My line of sight anyway.

When you pull a guitar on a strap over your head the blades make a sickening WHACK as they contact the headstock. Yeoow !!!

I was unaware F 20 headstocks are designed to handle this, man, what a bozo move.

Probably should post this in "Tech Shop"

Jeff, after contacting the NON rotating blade of a fan at My daughter's house (in the North) I've been extra wary of overhead obstructions while handling any guitar!

Sorry to hear that You had an episode with a rotating blade. :(

You know that's ironic, because I was messing around in my guitar room, which has a ceiling fan, and came a little close myself. And said to myself...if I stick my guitar up in that fan, I am going to have to say all the cuss words I know. 8)

watch out 8) you dont' wanna get hit by one. My friend's little son once accidentally touched his fingers to the bath fans and it almost took all of them off his hand.

Interesting topic, especially considering the encounters I've had with two of the four fans that we have.
My office (man cave) is nice and cozy and, because of the sloped ceiling, the fan in here is closer to 7' above the deck; so I always pay attention, especially when the blades are on the move!

I should say that I sometimes pay attention.....

Joe

*BTW, welcome to LTG gsxronax (how DO you pronouce that?)

Hi gsxr and welcome!
I shortened your handle, as it reminds me of the fun I had a few years back with one of these... is it suzuki related?
But feel free to talk about your Guild (s) too!! :D
