Thanks guys!
I couldn't find that model number listed on Guild's website either. It was made in Rhode Island from what I can gather from the label. But the picture is not good enough to make sure of the model number. The seller says that the model number is correct. I know Guild's labels seem to be rather "hastily" written in by hand in the assembly line sometimes, i.e., the model number and the serial numbers that is. Sometimes they are just plain hard to make out regardless. Who knows, it could be a special "one-off" model that was custom made, or a prototype, although I sincerely doubt it. He's a respected luthier who builds really nice Django guitars up in New York, by the way. I was thrilled to come across this one from a tip from another post on one of the guitar forums I believe, although that I can't remember which one it was.
From what I can ascertain, I appears to be a Jumbo "4" series model (like the D-4 dreadnaught models that they had for a while), and it has an all-satin finish along with an arched laminated back and solid sides. It has no belly, neck is straight, and is supposedly in mint condition. He says it has great string to string definition and is loud. I have the option to send it back if I don't like it. If I keep it, I will probably be selling my Martin D-28 copy Takamine Acoustic/Electric 12-string soon.
I should get it by Friday, hopefully. I'll let you all know about it when it arrives.
Thanks for your comments.
