Just to let you know, you're mailbox is full and can't receive any more private messages. It's not like the old days, eh?

Sorry Quart,

That happens several times every week and right now I cannot empty my box, because I still need to answer the ones that are in there.

If you have a question, go ahead and email me through my website.

Sincerely,

Hans Moust

Qvart, He's mentioned before he likes to get mail at his site because of that problem here.

Of course there's also a disclaimer there that certain providers have problems but that's been there for a while and might be fixed now.
Is this about your D40? I had a question about your Powerjack reference in the other thread but it's not a big deal.
Anyway, good luck!
Edit:
Dang, he's quick! LOL!!!

Al, Hans is so fast, even though you posted your reply first, his dropped in from that alternate universe he lives in, that is by default, faster.

No worries. I tried to send another message and received the alert, but you answered all my questions in the previous message. All good.

I was going to email Hans via his site but he answered my questions sufficiently. Still wish the current board format was more like it was before the migration.

I responded to your question in the other thread.

I 've been absent for quite awhile. Feeling like a newbie! :highly_amused:

Noticeably quieter than "the old days" when it used to get quite "noisy" for lack of a better word.
Hard to explain, but maybe someone else can chime in with a diagnosis.

Joe

I only have a 5 year perspective, but I'd call it civilized. The mods do a good job of keeping the discourse civil, and are quick to shut down flame wars before they get out of hand. Yeah, that antagonizes some folks who would prefer an un-moderated insult fest, but I appreciate not having to wade through a bunch of "you're a doody head!", "no, YOU'RE a doody head!!" posts to get to good content. I belong to a number of different discussion boards/forums on a variety of topics, and our own LTG is probably the best in terms of its valuable-content-to-doody ratio.

Great line! Might have to use that sometime.
So LTG is sort of like a doody-free zone. :highly_amused:

Joe

I don't know that we should be completely doody-free - gotta have some fertilizer, you know - but I think we're in the optimal range.

True, and it's always been rather civilized in the time I've been around despite the occasional pot-stirring. Glad it's still that way. I just noticed there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of activity overall compared to times in the past.
