He was here in the office when I returned this morning. I'll take Bronson in for a 'Ross the Magic Luthier' lookover and setup before a report and pictures. I've wanted a cutaway Guild 12er forever and this is it!!!

Welcome, Bronson!!! :)

Hey, Scratch, I was wondering what happened to Bugsy... Are you continuing to get that one fixed up by your luthier (was that the one damaged in transit)? Do I have it right?

Best of luck (again) on the sale of your other honeys.

Carl, its usually some character from my past who left a lasting impression. In Bronson's case, Coastie came up with the handle before I even gave it thought. Bronson (one of my favorite old action heroes) from the 'Dirty Dozen' (strings) fit so well I didn't even give it second thought.

Chazmo,
Bugly is in Don's good hands. Much more info coming when Don gives the go ahead... Bronson says thanks for the warm welcome... :) Ken

By the by... Hanzz's nameless, older twin brother ( :) ) is back in my hands after some extensive cleating and nut/saddle replacement. IT took its place with my two other Guild jumbos!

I've been tweaking the truss rods to see if I can get a perfect setup out of this without having the neck reset (which I'm not going to do). It's very good, but not "like butta" yet. I'm going to try another quarter turn tonight and see if it still doesn't buzz. It's right here in the office with me keeping me company.

Very nice guitar! What a sweet dread! Sounds really great. I can certainly understand why it's your favorite performer, scratch.

That 312 is just some kinda awesome. Don't know if I could ever find another 12er that could compare in terms of sound, performance, comfort, feel, ease of playing... Certainly haven't found one in the past 60 years! :? :) Heck, lets name yours Franzz!!!

That's so very true. Never been any other captains like Kirk and Piccard, and they were both Shakespearean actors earlier in their careers.

Didn't this thread start of with something about Scratch's guitar?
I forget.
