I wanted to find a nice Guild for Him, but nearly everything I found online, is beat up. Someone else got first crack at the D25 that West had for sale.....I'm just too busy to monitor multiple forums.

Anyhoo, I found a brand new git for Him (at a killer cash price), and I asked him to take a 20 mile ride in the evening, and check out a guitar for Me.

He arrived at the shop, checked out the git, and pronounced it as a pretty decent axe. The Girl at the counter, (pre-arranged with moi over the phone) wished Him a Happy (early) Birthday, and Congratulations on the NAVY Reserves enlistment.

My son just about fell over when He realized that the Guild GAD 25 was His; lock, stock, and barrel!

What an awesome present! The GADs are great guitars, and D25s in general are fantastic.

Natural finish? Post some pics if you get a chance! Always fun to see.

I looked at those GAD25's when I was shopping around and they are nice. Great surprise!

And now I too will make the obvious joke:

Where would you like for me to "check out" a guitar "for you" on, say, Monday 4/27? ;)

If you didn't see what happened with that don't worry, you didn't miss out. West wasn't able to sell it after all, but NOT for lack of trying!

Nicely done Dave!

+1. Where ya been doc?

Thank You for Your kind words, folks. My son and his GAD are located in New York, and I am in Florida, hence the lack of pictures posted. The Gad 25 does have the clear finish over solid mahogany, though I have yet to physically see it.

Scratch, I am an administrator on two internet sites, and I virtually have little time for pleasure these days. Didn't really know what I was getting myself into!

To help ease My workload, I've added a couple admins to the site that I own/administrate, however, the other, (the MC site) is very busy, and it's literally 7 days per week with nearly 8 thousand members. (I'm one of 4 administrators, & 6 moderators on that site)

I do try to log in here at least once or twice per week, however, whenever I have some unused time, I tend to run away from the keyboard!

I'll have a busy Summer with the impending trip up north late in May, and then I have to run up there again in early September, then drive across to Chicago for My son's graduation from basic for the Navy Reserves.

Hope that You folks are all healthy, and enjoying your guitars, as I (sure 'nuff) am.

Let me know when you're in the Buffalo area Dave. Maybe I can slip over and see you.

Grahamy,
Can ya PM a cell number to Me? I'll add it to my phone, and call You when I'm there.
Perhaps you might join myself and My friend Art in a back yard gig. We've played together since we were both 14 or 15 years old.

Hey, the Goo Goo Dolls are from Buffalo! They're recording a new album there as I write this. Well, I suppose they're out eating with Tim Palmer right now, but they were tracking earlier today.

Don't worry 'bout it.

We're always cordial to others where it concerns guitars and picking.
Ya' never know.....We may just learn sumptin' from You!

I'd love to jam with you guys! I know I would definitely learn from you folks! Not much jam around here except obnoxious kids like me. :( And I've got plenty of ego already without involving more people like me.
