unfortunately no photo evidence, only thought to grab camera afterwards in a woulda coulda shoulda moment. But was taking the pontoon out earlier, and as I pulled the cover off the bimini top, I see this small fuzz ball in a fold of the fabric, and I’m like what is that? Then it starts wriggling and I’m wondering is that a caterpillar? Wtf? Then I see a black twig looking thing, and I thought crap I think it’s a batwing, but I don’t want to get too close and I don’t know what that is and that thing better not touch me when I open this up. Plus my wife is with me twenty feet away on the dock and she hates bats! Won’t go out at dusk, calls it bat hour lol. So I warned her and then started to open the bimini top and sure enough, it kind of unravelled and then fluttered away, the opposite way of us so no big deal. It might’ve got disoriented from the bright daylight if anything, but that was exciting stuff you don’t see everyday :)
