Hi guys !

New on the forum, I have a question for you: is this beauty a Bluesbird or a Blues 90 ? From which year ?
I'm a bit confused with the specs of the guitar: P90 pickups, no binding on the neck and block inlays. AAA table ?
Here some photos: https://imageshack.com/a/XIgz/1

Thx a lot !

Pretty sure it's a Blues 90 as I believe the Bluesbirds had neck binding. Can't read the serial number to get the date but I'm guessing it was made in Corona.

One thing I do know is the truss rod cover is on up-side-down.

Grot, I thought the Blues 90 was only made in Westerly (and not Corona). The red one in the picture looks like a Bluesbird 90 to me because it has those block inlays in the fretboard (not small dots). I could be wrong about all of this though...
if it is a "corona bluesbird 90" it may have a very chunky neck as is well documented on this forum.

That's interesting! I was thinking as mavuser was. Can someone answer a question then: how is that done? Did the owner put on a different neck? Were the dots taken out and the inlays put in? Just curious...

BTW, that is a great looking guitar!

SSweet guitar! Are late Westerly Bluesbird necks chunky like the Corona versions? I had a Corona BB, and while my hand size is pretty average I thought the neck was great.

The neck on my Westerly Blues 90 is definitely chunky.

Thank you all !
I checked the inlays on the neck and now it seems pretty obvious they are stickers... I feel dumb ^^
Well, I bought a Bluesbird but she lost the bird ! Still a great guitar though.
Any idea of a price range ?

Hello billypote,

Nothing wrong with your guitar! If you like the markers ...... just leave 'm on!
If you don't, remove 'm and you're back at factory spec.

Sincerely,

Hans Moust
