Hello Bluesbird75,

Would this work for you?

Hans, I've noticed that the Westerly and Corona carved tops differ in contour (I like both), as if shaped on different machinery.

Did the routed body chambers change, as well, or did they retain the exact same specs?

I have a Westerly Blues 90 and a Corona std. Bluesbird - never noticed a difference in contour. Can you describe the differences?

Hans is the man!

Who else would have a photo like that?

Hans, Hans, he's the man.
If he can't do it, no one can.

(Although to be safe, I'd check with Grot and a few others here before I gave up completely).

Ya know on second glance of your photo Hans, where do the pick-ups go?

It doesn't appear to be routed for humbuckers.

Am I missing something?

Hello Kurt,

The photo shows the routing of the chambers in the mahogany. After the maple top had been glued on, the 'sandwich' body was routed for the pickups. By routing to the desired depth, that last procedure automatically would take the router bit down into the mahogany. Much cleaner results when they are routed at the same time.

Sincerely,
