Hey guys! Been a bit pre-occupied playin my new x150 and haven't stopped by in a while but wanted to share my 1st tune I recorded using the guild.

You can hear it here: Click on "The Butler did it" in the player.

I entered this tune in a blues guitar competition and it has been sitting near the top of the charts since. Unbelievable! The response has really blown my mind. I'm not worthy!!

Winner gets a new 335 and a trip to L.A for a blues concert.
If you get a second, check it out and let me know what you think. If you wanna register and vote...well that's cool too! I used the guild on the 1st half of the tune and then switched to a semi-hollowbody. Peace! Brad

Thanks for the listen and nice words!

Graham, You select the number of stars (1 through 5) you want beside the song title then click Submit Comment. You don't have to actually type a comment if you don't want but you have to click the "submit comment" to register the vote.

I can't thank you enough for going through the trouble of registering and all that stuff.

It's finally over and I placed in the top 10 @ #5. Now it goes to 4 judges who will pick the winner from the top 10. Not sure who all the judges are but I believe Jack Sonni (Dire Straits) and Pete Anderson (Dwight Yoakam) are 2 of them. There was also mention that the winner will be played on Guitar Center radio that plays in all the stores.

A big thanks to everyone that listened, voted and encouraged. You're very kind!

Just got the latest flyer from GC in the mail. It contains information about the venue where the finals are being held and it lists your name, Brad!

Don't be too surprised if a couple of LTG'ers show up to offer encouragement!

Very cool, Brad! Nice tone and smooth phrasing.

I like the lead surprises on some of the changes.

Best of luck with future recordings--keep 'em coming!!

Ed

Fantastic!!! Now we can all live vicariously through you for awhile!

Too bad about the Gibson endorsement deal. :? What a great opportunity it would've been to stick Guild electrics back into the limelight.

I couldn't figure out how to listen to a clip there, but if Kenny Wayne was a judge, it must be good.

Another local boy from Shreveport. Kenny Wayne Shepard played here when he was about 15. My goodness, what a talant.
