As I recently turned [TOO OLD], I'm looking for a milestone acoustic. My last milestone was a nice Fred Stuart grady martin Bigsby replica so it's time for somethin' equally fancy.

What I really want is a black acoustic with some bling for stage like the old country guys had. Perhaps a crazy pickguard. Old or new Like a D-55 Noir (yeah I see there was only 2) or an F-55 in black (although the GSR red ones look pretty tempting). Gibson doesn't make a SJ-200 in black as far as I know. The Cash D-28 could be a possibility. I could get a local luthier friend to make something comparable-- he makes D-28 clones - but I'm not sure I want that route yet. The last time it took over a year to get and frankly isn't worth what I laid out for it and it actually had some issues.

How many fancy black acoustics has Guild done over the years?

During New Hartford times in 2012 Guild produced the GSR D-40 Noir, but I bet it's also hard to find one today. 20 or less were made.

Not sure I'd like a signature guitar. Best to make my own legend (even if in my mind)... and a guild would be better :)

Black is just so cool for an acoustic I think and they make a great stage guitar IMHO.

I have a sweet Black D 30 and then there's this one which is pretty unique. It's a D 25DSCN1945.JPG from Westerly in the Factory Finish of Black Sparkle. When the light hits it just right it grabs your attention. I've played it in Church a few times.. here's a couple pics but not sure how great the sparkle turned out.

Guild Valencia!
Great! Never seen pictures of a black Valencia before! But yes, the Nashville custom shop made black models, as also this picture from them shows: Black F-50s ? EDIT: Sure I had seen pictures of a black Valencia... In the catalog!

That 2011 New Hartford made F-412 looked great in black as well.
The label didn't even say anything about the color:

But it sounded the OP is more looking for a black 6 string.

Thread is making me nutty. If any of you guys come across one- yes a 6 string- let me know!
