Has anyone seen a tailpiece like this before? It looks like a B2 that's been modified, maybe on a mill drill machine. Very peculiar. Any chances that this is a factory one-off? One can almost see in the pics, its heritage as a Guildsby. Note how the right side where the arm normally attaches, is shaped differently than the left, just as with a standard Bigsby. Overall the guitar is rather interesting, as well as beautiful. Fancy Kolb tuners too.

Edit: Meant for topic to be Bizarre tailpiece.

Re: Bizarre bridge

Looks like somebody had access to a dremel and too much time on their hands...? I like the guitar though!

Re: Bizarre bridge

There are any number of Bigsbys where you can simply remove the arm and spring. That's my guess of what you see here.

Not very nice looking without it to me. Cool guitar, though.

I think it's the Guild-branded Bigsby with the end of the rotating bar milled off. I believe the removable arms detach from their pivots, not from the end of the bar.
