My own foot with neighbor's '56 Martin D18, in Asolo boot that is no longer with us. Man made materials disintegrate on their own, leading to tragic trail incidents of partially losing a sole. Not for me, ever again. I found Alico Tahoe and Summit Italian Alp made boots of all leather and rubber and have never been happier.
