That vintage ES-150 blade pickup tone (like Charlie Christian) is why I put a blade in my X150. The new ones aren't quite as fat, dark and overtone rich as the vintage ones, but the flavor's there!

LOVE IT!!!
I was hugely influence by Kessel just because of his long-running column in Guitar Player Magazine- he talked about MUSIC more than the guitar itself and that (along with Howard Roberts, Carol Kaye, and Jeff Berlin) shaped my approach to learning and teaching music.
