I took a fall this morning and ripped up my right thumb in a couple of places. The top rip is right where my thumb strikes the string, so I guess I'll be flatpicking for while. :witless:

I know the drill about "no pics it didn't happen" so here you go!

Time to change the bandage, I do believe....

Carry on,

Eww...I feel your pain, Joe! It brings back all my memories of pre-performance finger or hand injuries. While you heal, as Pascal suggests, 'There's no place like numb!".

That's too bad Joe. May you have a speedy recovery.

Yikes!
But, if Pete Townshend can survive getting a whammy bar stuck through his hand, you'll be back picking before you know it.

Wow! I also wish you fast healing. I can relate though. I cut off a piece of the of my middle finger on my left hand years ago. It healed over, but even now it still "shocks" me sometimes when it presses down on a string in a certain way.

It hasn't been a good week for you Joe, unfortunately I can see your bad luck continuing for another couple of days. You know what they say: if you have two sources of pain, you only feel the greater pain. Come Sunday night about 10 pm, you won't feel that thumb at all.

Get well soon, Joe! Why not try to play left handed like Hendrix?

There is now an acute band-aid shortage in the Pacific Northwest. Act now to protect yourselves and your children!

Joe,

Hope it feels better tomorrow but usually the next day is the sorest. A Fred Kelly speed pic might work while it heals. Luckily your index didn't get injured. Keep you bird pics coming.

Heel quickly. The good news is that you can really dig in and play wicked loud hybrid style. :encouragement:
