LMG I swag!Hey! I'm wearing that Guild shirt today!!!!
Just some groovy shorts that I have on for a beautiful, warm day up here in New England, Grot. What's with the funky pants?
And when "Civil War Randy" brings them in the Penske truck!I love Norm of Norn's rare guitars, when commenting on the Texas guitar show guitars they were unloading from a truck, saying "I payed a lot for these guitars so you could pay a lot more." He laughed knowing some time someone would buy all of them. Today, tomorrow, or in five years.
It's a laminated Brazilian veneer. @chazmo had one like it a while back, and there is a thread here somewhere and @hansmoust expounds on it some.Bummer that you didn't score a new guitar, but hey, at least you got to check out that '70 F-50! Brazilian rosewood sounds amazing. If it's got no bracing and an arched back, it might very well be hand-carved.
I remember a couple of those shows Bill! The best one was at Osceola Park, with the Mecum auction running at the same time. Cars and guitars! One of the guitar shows many of us met at in Florida (Orlando?), there were TONS of Gibson J-45's that looked like they had been dragged behind someone's pickup truck, insane prices...almost as if all the dealers had chosen what the price should be...would never have considered any of them...hmmm, is that why I bought my Huss & Dalton?
no, definitely not.Bummer that you didn't score a new guitar, but hey, at least you got to check out that '70 F-50! Brazilian rosewood sounds amazing. If it's got no bracing and an arched back, it might very well be hand-carved.
