Good morning

I have a specific question concerning a Lamb of God song and maybe someone can help?

The lady on the chat from Apple told me that for her everything seems normal, and that I must ask the record label if there are different versions (I'm sure there are not, at least not with this matter). Before I do this, I wanted to know if any of you can hear the same phenomenon? or is it just me?

Content warning: It's about metal music, so those with sensitive ears may refrain from helping me ;)

When I listen to the song on Apple music, there is an odd pause between 3:04 and 3:06

The singer should actualy sing "something to die" while the band has a pause, as can be heard on spotify.

Same on youtube:

It's really weird, since Apple doesn't edit any songs, they don't have the legal rights to do so.

So please let me know, what do you hear?

Thank you :)

Reudi, I don't know, but there might be different versions of the song itself floating around.

The company I used to work for supplied the song "metadata" (including the cover art) for both of those companies, so it's possible that it was mapped to the wrong cover (which advises against the bad lyrics) when the song itself might've been edited already.

If you're hearing the same thing from both sources, then I suspect it's the actual recording that's being used which has been edited by the distributor.

Thanks Chazmo, interesting insights! I'm pretty sure though that what I hear on Apple music is not intended to sound this way. The text that is missing in the pause on Apple music is "something to die", this is what the singer sings in the pause on Spotify and Youtube. Those words are not explicit in my understanding? Anyway, if someone could check it out and tell me what they hear I'd really appreciate :)

Need an account on both services to hear anything other than a preview.

Good luck.

On another note, do you really like this music, Reudi? No offense at all, but wow... That's definitely not my cup of tea.
